Program

The first day the participants will be hosted at the student residences of Donetsk National Technical University. There are other options of accommodation. Please check the information in the section "accommodation" of this site. The first day will focus on the arrival of participants and assisting them wherever necessary. Sandwiches, tea and water will be provided in their rooms.

After arrival, DISU activities will be structured as follows. Minor changes may be made since the schedule is not yet finalised.

8:00-9:00  Breakfast
9:30-12:30 Academic activities (seminars, lectures, debates, round-table discussions, workshops)
13.00-14.00 Lunch 
14.30-17.30 Academic activities (seminars, lectures, debates, round-table discussions, workshops) or social/artistic activities

DISU activities will finish at 17.30 pm. After that, several leisure activities will be organized and the participants will have free time to enjoy Donetsk. Dinners are not included in the project except for the gala dinner (7th day) and the farewell dinner (12th day).
There is a curfew in Donetsk imposed by DPR authorities for security reasons. People are not allowed to walk around the city after 11.00 pm, and therefore the participants must be in the hostel before this time.

On the 5th day we will visit the city of Lugansk. We will meet local authorities, local media and members of the local community. On the 6th day we will develop a special program of activities that will be developed in Lugansk. We will return to Donetsk in the evening.

On the 9th day we will visit the Azov Sea. We will meet local authorities, local media and members of the local community. The 10th day will consist of a special program of activities near the Azov Sea. We will return to Donetsk in the evening.

For security reasons changes may be made on the 5th, 6th and 9th and 10th day. 

DISU will conclude the 12th day with a special event organized in the sports centre of Donetsk National Technical University. A farewell dinner will be given for participants, which will be attended by members of DonNTU academic community. Several artistic performances will be organized (music by local bands, dances by local groups, etc.).
